  1. This is an instructional file on how to install Todd A. Anderson's BattleTech
  2. Mech Editor.
  3.  
  4. Installation Requirements
  5.    Windows 3.1

  7. Installation Instructions
  8. 1)  Create a directory on your hard drive where the Mech Editor program will
  9.     reside.  For example,
  10.  
  11.         MD \MECHEDIT
  12.  
  13. 2)  Change to the directory you just created.  For example,
  14.  
  15.         CD \MECHEDIT
  16.  
  17. 3)  Extract the Mech Editor ZIP archive file into the current directory.
  18.     For example,
  19.  
  20.         PKUNZIP A:\BTECH21.ZIP
  21.  
  22. 4)  You may now run the BattleTech Mech Editor by choosing File Run from the
  23.     Windows Program Manager menu bar and specifying the program name.  For
  24.     example,
  25.  
  26.         C:\MECHEDIT\BTECH.EXE
  27.  
  28.     Or, you may create an icon to run the program.  Consult your Windows
  29.     manual for this process.

  31. 5)  Once the program has started, you may access on-line help by clicking on
  32.     the help item on the menu bar and clicking on the word Contents.

  35. If you register this product, it will get better.  If no one registers, nothing
  36. will improve.  Most of all, I want your suggestions on how to make the program
  37. better.  Feel free to write me at the address in the registration file.
